Frontline Defense
At AEC we realize that Export Compliance is a frontline defense for American interests. When global conflicts are waged through economics, the nation with better protections will prevail. By ensuring that critical technology is protected from our adversaries and shared among our allies, we strengthen our position and advance our technical standing. This task starts here at home with American businesses. Through education and assistance, AEC hopes to develop Export Compliance knowledge and awareness throughout American industry so that our nation, our economy, and our citizens’ businesses will continue to prosper safely and securely.
Where We Began
Arrow Export Consultants was born as an offshoot from Evolutions in Business, a veteran company in the Export Compliance field with 35 years of experience and service. EIB, though serving clients all over the U.S., is primarily concentrated in New England. AEC presented an opportunity to start fresh in a new region, a new market, and home of some of the biggest trade hubs in America: the great state of Texas. Taking the lessons, knowledge, and work ethic of an industry veteran, Arrow Export Consultants is working to spread Export Compliance awareness across the American South. AEC is committed to guiding clients through regulations and protecting their businesses. Like its originator EIB, Arrow Export Consultants is not limited to Texas for clients, but it will move to show appreciation to its home state by becoming a reputable name in the Export Compliance field with a new headquarters in Texas.
Jeanette Reed, Consultant
Jeanette Reed, PAST President, founded Evolutions in Business in 1989 to provide outsourced consultation and training to corporations. Ms. Reed has trained over 10,000 different individuals on Export Compliance, ITAR and EAR, Export Documentation, Letters of Credit and USMCA (NAFTA) and other free trade agreements. Evolutions in Business has stayed out front with changes in Export Reform, National Defense Authorization Acts, CFIUS, and NIST 800-171, Cyber Security CMMC (DFARS 7012). Training and consultation has been provided to companies engaged in the international trade of highly technical commodities of manufacture, both commercial and military.
Ms. Reed and her company, Evolutions in Business has had strategic alliances with a number of different freight forwarders over the years and has engaged in public speaking events for Massport, New Hampshire International Trade Resource Center (ITRC), N.E. National Defense Industry Association (NDIA), The Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance and U.S. Small Business Development. She has received numerous commendations for her course work in this specialized field. Officers of the New England office of Export Enforcement and ICE have recognized Ms. Reed as a leader in export compliance training. Prior to establishing her business, Ms. Reed worked in Management at various corporations engaged in Freight Logistics or Advanced Technology and Manufacturing including, OCEANAIR, Inc. Cambridge Medical Technologies, Kurzweil Music Systems, Inc. and IPL Systems.

Meet AEC
John Young, President
John Young is a proud seventh generation Texan. He spent many years in different areas of the country, but came home to eventually graduate from Texas Christian University with a degree in Writing. After spending years in the legal field, he transitioned to Export Compliance, where he worked for Evolutions in Business, a veteran company of 35 years in the Export Compliance field. Under the tutelage of President Jeanette Reed, John trained as a Regulatory Analyst and researcher, assisting a wide variety of client businesses in product classification, TAA construction, EAR and ITAR license acquisition, and other regulatory issues.
Nicolette Reed, Vice President
Nicolette was part of Evolutions In Business for 17 years working in Export Compliance alongside her mentor, Jeanette Reed at Evolutions In Business which was family owned and operated for 35 years. She worked her way up from Customer Service to the role of Vice President.
After a successful strategic alliance with Arrow Export Consultants, in 2026 the two companies decided to merge and rebrand themselves as Arrow Export Consultants.
Over the course of her many years in the Export Compliance Industry, Nicolette gained the respect of both customers and colleagues alike for her public speaking skills as well as her acumen of ITAR and EAR regulations. Nicolette has given presentations on Export Regulations throughout New England at places like Manchester Community College, the Chafee Center at Bryant University in Rhode Island, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, and also through the New Hampshire Office of International Trade.
Nicolette also moonlighted as an event DJ throughout New England for many years and manages her own small Entertainment company, Red Tie Entertainment. She utilized her public speaking and DJ skills to produce a Podcast, EIB Export News, which can be found on multiple Podcast platforms. Nicolette now runs workshops periodically where she trains others how to start Podcasts of their own. Arrow Exports runs its own Podcast which is Produced by her colleague John Young.
